| The treatment of pain for children | |||

The variety of clinical and therapeutic situations in which children
suffer from pain makes the problem of treatment very complex and demanding. Therefore, parents must be given the information and assistance most needed for their children. Medical and nurse personnel must always pay attention to the pain suffered by ill children and must dedicate themselves to finding remedies to the situation. Nowadays, we do have scientific knowledge that permits, in various ways - pharmacological, physical, psycho-behavioral - reduction or complete relief from pain. |
